ABOUT THE CAMPUS

Our campus history

The campus at 115 Waterloo Road became home to Kowloon True Light's Primary and Kindergarten Sections after the Middle School moved to its new premises at No. 1 True Light Lane, Kowloon Tong, in 1960. This relocation allowed the original Waterloo Road site to begin a new chapter serving younger pupils.

As the Primary Section continued to grow, the Kindergarten Section closed in 1993 to support its development. Another important milestone followed in the 2011–2012 academic year, when English was introduced as the medium of instruction for Primary One, with the change continuing in subsequent years.

In March 2012, all Primary Section staff and students temporarily relocated to 5 Kwong Lee Road, Sham Shui Po, while major renovation work took place at Waterloo Road. This temporary move enabled the school community to continue teaching and learning during the refurbishment of its campus.

The renovation was completed in January 2013, and the school officially returned to Waterloo Road on 7 January 2013. To mark this occasion, the school organised a Re-opening Ceremony cum Thanksgiving Service, celebrating the completion of the works and the community's return to its renewed home. These milestones trace the campus's continuing development over more than five decades.
